Kim has taken on the on-going position of Guest Experience Manager at the Backeddy Pub and Marina, located in Egmont. With the new owners' vision of creating a World-Class Resort, this position offers exciting opportunities to combine imagination and business direction to create dynamic experiences for the Resort's clients.

May 24th is the Sunshine Coast Arts Council's Gala Art Auction. This event will take place at the Arts Centre in Sechelt with cocktails and nibbles served from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The Live Auction will begin at 8:00. This promises to be an exciting evening, with both silent and live auctions, sumptuous food catered by Spence on the Coast and the serving expertise and elegance of Aligning Production's Black Tie Babes.

August 16th and 17th is the 21st Sunshine Coast Arts Council Hackett Park Craft. This will be Kim's second Hackett Park craft fair with the Arts Council, so time to shake things up! The goal is how to make this fair slightly different and exciting.

Literacy Now has asked Aligning Productions to start creating two community literacy programs: one in Pender Harbour and one in Egmont. The first step will be to get community feedback about what is needed in our community. We will keep you posted on meetings, etc.

Katie Janyk, a ceramic artist from Gibsons, has joined our "Artists Represented by Us" roster. She is fabulous! Ceramic tiles joined together to make frames or murals... Check her out at www.salamanderstudio.net. Katie will be putting a piece in the Art Council's Auction on May 24th.
